DE PERE, Wis. April 17, 2017 – Robinson Custom Enclosures (RCE), a division of Robinson Metal, Inc., received their Certificate of Compliance and Classified for Construction approval per UL 2200. UL 2200 is the industry recognized construction standard for stationary engine generator enclosures.
UL 2200, the Standard for Safety of Stationary Engine Generator Assemblies, was first introduced in 1998, and since has been re-written to cover stationary engine generator assemblies rated 600 Volts or less, and that are intended for installation and use in ordinary locations in accordance with the National Electrical Code and NFPA-70. The UL certification program determines that the construction and samples of components fully comply with UL’s requirements at the time those samples were produced.
UL 2200 classification shows a company’s commitment to the highest levels of safety, quality, and performance. “Being able to carry the UL2200 classification on our enclosures ensures that our customers are getting nothing but proven electrical and mechanical components that meet the highest safety and performance testing requirements, as set forth by Underwriters Laboratory,” says General Manager Jim Birkholz.
